Chocolate Pear Cookies

- Egg × 2
- 250 g Flour (all-purpose)
- 120 g Muscovado sugar
- 200 g Chocolate bar (baking)
- 140 g Butter
- Pear × 1
- 1 sach. Baking powder
- 2 g Salt
Method

Prep Pears & Chocolate
Peel and cut the pears into small cubes. Roughly chop the chocolate.

Mix Butter & Sugar
In a bowl, mix the soft butter and the muscovado sugar until they form an even, creamy paste.

Add Egg
Break the eggs into the butter/sugar mixture. Mix vigorously with a whisk until you get a smooth batter.

Add Dry Ingredients
Then add the flour, baking powder, and a pinch of salt (optional). Mix again just until the dough comes together evenly, with no dry streaks of flour.

Fold & Chill
Add the chocolate and the pear to the cookie dough. Mix and then chill in the fridge for 30 minutes.

Preheat the oven
Preheat the oven to 220°C.

Take the cookie dough out
After 30 minutes, take the cookie dough out of the refrigerator and make balls of about 4 cm, using an ice cream scoop or your hands.

Place them on a baking
Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake
Bake for 8 minutes at 220°C.

Cool & Serve
Once golden brown on the edges, take the chocolate pear cookies out of the oven and let them cool slightly before eating. They're ready!
